A typical session will start off by spending a few minutes together just hanging out. This gives your little toddlers a chance to get used to me and their surroundings.

Every family and every child is unique, so your session is really led by baby, you and your family.

Family photos always come first, toddlers and young children have smaller time frames then newborns! We will then assess the situation and try sibling photos or if bub is super sleepy I move onto individual shots of bub.

Before your session I will send out a questionnaire to fill in, to gather info on your family and what you expect from our session together. I will guide you the whole way through, and give you small prompts along the way! And that’s essentially all there is to it!

SOME QUICK TIPS TO PREP FOR OUR SESSION

Enjoy this time with your family, and please don't worry if your little loves run away and play or won't sit and smile nicely for the camera, I don't expect them too! I want to capture them as they are, and for their true personalities to shine through so when you look back in years to come you won’t have photos full of forced smiles, you will have genuine heartfelt memories. I want your images to be full of so much emotion, that when you look at them, you are transported back to that moment in time.

Studio sessions use props & outfits to capture your newborn in the first few weeks of his or her life. The lighting, colors and scenes are all planned and absolutely perfect.

Studio sessions take place in my home studio in Logan Village, which is set up to be comfortable for both baby and your family. A unique set up that includes a day bed for lifestyle type shots and lots of beautiful dried flower arrangements. I keep a small amount of props, headbands, bonnets and accessories to give you options to choose from. Sessions typically last between 1-2 hours, depending on how sleepy bub is.

Just a small disclaimer, I am a minimalist newborn photographer. I will not put your baby into unsafe positions like bum up or froggy poses. I have two wrapping techniques that I use that are safe for baby.

01

Make it a relaxing day

Try to prep as much as you can the night before, packing the nappy bag, have everyone's outfits ironed and ready to change into. Choose a day that is free from doctors appointments.

03

Snacks & drinks

Please only bring dry snacks to the studio, to minimise clean up and mess during our session.

02

Maps & traffic

Remember to jump on and map out the location and plan your day accordingly, check for traffic and allow time to change children if you are waiting until you arrive at the studio.

04

Dad

Bring your game face! Your beautiful wife has just carried your baby for 9 months, this is something special she would like captured! I will give you many breaks, and its never as bad as you think!
